It Only Takes One Step

Do not be fooled. I'm not claiming to have the secret recipe to weight loss, the key to the perfect body, or even the most effective weight loss recipes (well I might have some things you'd want to try).
The last thing I want you to think is that I tricked you into wasting your time. But, if you're taking your precious time to read this, thank you. You won't regret it.

Now, what I do have for you might not be what you want to hear. [I know it was hard for me to hear too, but well worth it]. There are some very effective ways to lose fat, build muscle, and gain strength, endurance, and speed while doing it. So, let me rip this band-aid off real quick - It's A LOT of crap and it takes FOREVER!

Yep, so if you're not ready to make a life-long commitment to your health and well being, you should probably hop back on over to Facebook. If you're still reading this, kudos to you!

One thing I've realized very quickly is that ANYONE can lose weight. Anyone. Sounds very second-grade, but it took me a while to come to terms with this. So, I thought I'd help you with this hurdle early.

Many a time I found myself staring [yeah creepy, I know] at some of the women I see wondering how in the world did she get that muscle worked, or damn, I wonder if there is a magic drink out there that no one is telling me about, or even wtf is SHE doing that I'M not!? And then it hits me.
I'm not!

   I wasn't doing SH*T!
How in the world was I ever going to look like those women when I had done nothing but sit on my butt!

So, if you are ready to get off your butt like I did, then let this be a sort of a challenge: Start doing something, anything. Grab the pup and take a walk around the block, don't be a dingleberry about getting the closest parking spot at the store and walk a little, grab a piece of fruit in lieu of a cupcake or chips. Do something. Doesn't matter how small or insignificant you feel it is, you'd be surprised at the change it makes [especially if you were a professional couch potato like I was].

Let me leave you with one thing to always remember: be patient. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet fad or a way to "get hot by summer". Get ready to really change your life and live the way you've always dreamed.

I have only begun my journey, so let's do it together and make it the last time we tell ourselves "I'll start my diet Monday".
Be like Nike, Just DO it.
